Aluminum is extracted from nature by electrolysis and obtains mechanical and physical properties to meet different requirements by smelting with certain amount of elements such as copper, manganese, magnesium, silicon, zinc, etc. to form different kinds of alloys. At present, there are nine series of deformed aluminum alloys from 1000 to 9000, which are applied to consumable, aerospace, construction, packaging, transportation, electrical equipment and other aspects.

It has the following characteristics:

◆ Lightweight: The density of aluminum is 2.73 g/cm3, only 1/3 that of steel.

◆ High strength: Aluminum alloy can reach by processing and heat treatment can achieve very high strength, even can be applied to the structure of the airliner.

◆Good corrosion-resistance: Aluminium is a reliable and durable material for outdoor buildings. It has strong self-antirust ability, in the natural environment can form a thin layer of dense oxide layer on its surface to protect from further oxidation in the air. At the same time, aluminum is also able to resist multiple of acid corrosion.

◆ Diverse and beautiful surface: Surface treatment includes anodizing, electrophoresis, chemical treatment, polishing and painting.

◆ Easy for profiling: possible for profiling, stretching, rolling, punching, spinning, casting and forging. Aluminum sheets can be rolled into various thicknesses, even very thin aluminum foil.

◆ Good electrical conductivity: Non-magnetized and low spark sensitivity prevents from electromagnetic interference and reduces inflammability in special environments.

◆ Easy to connect: Aluminum can be connected by riveting, welding, gluing, etc.

◆ Recyclable: The recycling value of aluminum is very high. Thus, from long run aluminum is very economical, which is fairly important in saving natural resources.
